Case study: Unprocessed

Overview

Unprocessed are a German progressive metal band with 330K followers on Spotify and 102K on Instagram, and a touring history alongside Polyphia, TesseracT and Spiritbox. Their sixth studio album Angel, released worldwide in October 2025, received four and a half stars from New Noise Magazine, called "their most adventurous album yet."

I am their lead designer. Every visual element surrounding Angel, the record, the tours, the social presence, came through me. I had the pleasure to collaborate with external great photographer and 3D illustrators switching hats between Art Director, Creative Designer and Artworker.

CASE STUDY

Album artwork, print and motion across a worldwide touring campaign

Album artwork: Angel

A complete art direction project across LP vinyl, CD and lyrics booklet. A 3D artist (Liz Meinesz) was commissioned for key illustrations and I art directed their output and integrated everything into a unified visual system, making every decision about composition, typography, colour and feel working closely to the band.

Deliverables included the LP and CD sleeve, a full lyrics booklet with editorial layout, and production-ready files for print. Physical product mockups were built in Blender and Photoshop to visualise the record before it went to press. (Photos by Jessica Christ).
